Probing the charged Higgs boson with low-energy electronic recoil at direct detection measurements
The Higgs triplet model provides a natural explanation of the smallness of neutrino mass without requiring right-handed neutrinos. In the framework of solar neutrino interaction with electrons in dark matter direct detection experiments, we probe the singly charged Higgs boson of the model via the elastic neutrino-electron scattering. We explore the implications of the model with the recent data from PandaX-4T and XENONnT experiments. Accordingly, we derive new limits on the ratio of coupling and mass of the charged Higgs boson and compare our results with other limits obtained in the literature. More stringent limits are obtained relative to previously conducted studies, signaling the potential investigation of such models in the currently advanced direct detection experiments.
