GEOLOGICAL STUDY AND EXPLORATION PLANNING OF THE EASTERN DEPOSIT-FORMING ZONES OF THE PRE-CASPIAN BASIN
The relevance of this study is determined by the need to ensure energy security and the rational use of natural resources amid global energy changes and increasing market competition. The aim of the work is to optimize exploration strategies and improve the accuracy of hydrocarbon deposit forecasting on the southeastern margin of the Pre-Caspian Basin using modern geoinformation analysis methods. Analytical, statistical, classification, functional, and synthesis methods were employed in the research. It was established that the Neogene and Khvalynian-Khazar sedimentary layers have a high hydrocarbon potential, as confirmed by comprehensive geological and distributional analyses. An analysis of the origin of alternative gas components was also conducted, allowing for the assessment of their impact on reservoir characteristics. The obtained results are important for evaluating the economic value of the fields and can be used in the planning and optimization of hydrocarbon production, contributing to cost reduction and enhancing the stability of the energy sector.
