The application of educational games based on virtual reality technology in teaching english in universities

Due to the way that virtual reality technology combines associativity, interactivity, and immersion, it has drawn a lot of interest in the field of educational games. This study first discusses the current goals of teaching English in colleges and universities and designs a game module in line with those goals. The game module is then built using virtual reality technology, including a geometric environment model and a behavioral kinematic model. The intelligent text game quiz module is created utilizing a two-way variable pressure coding system to complete the game design, and the behavioral kinematic model is designed to integrate auditory and visual perceptrons to improve the user experience. The experimental results demonstrate that the virtual game environment developed by the research can receive high subjective user evaluation scores, and the intelligent text quiz module can deliver information with a 99.6% accuracy rate and a 99.1% correct rate in 135 milliseconds, and the game can consistently complete more than 90% of the English language learning objectives. The educational game created using virtual reality technology can thus achieve significant application value in colleges' English teaching.
