ADEC - TML: the rules of life
Aim: This study proposes a mathematical model, named ADEC (Autopoietic Dynamic Entropic Clock), integrated with the Theory of Minimal Life (TML), to describe the emergence of complexity in primitive living systems. The aim is to provide a discrete and predictive formalisation of autopoietic processes and the minimal conditions necessary for life. Methods: The ADEC model is based on cyclic matrices with prime dimensions, an internal entropic counter, and coprimality rules. The generation of new modules occurs only under conditions of total asynchrony, defined as “free phases”. The TML provides six fundamental biochemical criteria for defining minimal life, which are mapped onto the discrete dynamics of the ADEC model. Results: The system demonstrates non-repetitive modular growth, regulated by the prime number theorem.
