A review of biochemic remedies in anemia: Ferrum phos., calcarea phos., natrum mur.

Background: Anemia, characterized by a deficiency of hemoglobin or red blood cells, is a global health issue affecting individuals of all ages. Biochemic remedies, developed by Dr. Wilhelm Schüßler, aim to correct physiological imbalances at the cellular level using tissue salts. Among these, Ferrum phosphoricum, Calcarea phosphorica, and Natrum muriaticum are most frequently indicated in different stages and types of anemia. Objective: This review explores the clinical relevance and application of these three biochemic remedies in managing anaemia, correlating their indications with pathophysiological aspects of the disease and highlighting their role in integrative homeopathic treatment. Method: A literature-based analysis used classical biochemic texts, homeopathic materia medica, and clinical experiences. Selection focused on the therapeutic indications, dosage forms, constitutional profiles, and comparative applications of Ferrum phos., Calc. phos., and Nat. mur. in various anemic conditions. Conclusion: Biochemic remedies offer a gentle, supportive approach in managing anemia. When selected appropriately, Ferrum phos., Calcarea phos., and Natrum mur. complement the body's natural regenerative processes. They are especially useful in early stages, during convalescence, or as adjuncts in chronic or recurrent cases. Clinical validation through observational studies could further affirm their value in modern integrative healthcare.
