DYNAMICS OF HEART RATE VARIABILITY AND THE STATE OF THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM AT THE DENTIST DURING THE APPOINTMENT
Relevance. Dentists face many adverse factors on a daily basis that have a negative impact on their health. These factors include forced postures, prolonged sitting, as well as high psycho-emotional stress. These conditions can contribute to the development of occupational diseases and a decrease in the quality of life. The method of studying heart rate variability (HRV) is an effective tool for assessing autonomic regulation and adaptive resources, which makes it especially relevant for analyzing the health status of dentists. The study of these factors is important for developing measures to improve working conditions and prevent occupational diseases. The purpose of study. The main purpose of the study is to study the nature of the impact of occupational risks on the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous systems, as well as on the musculoskeletal system of dentists. Materials and methods. The study examined 19 dentists aged 22 to 66 years. To analyze heart rate variability, the VNS-Spectrum software and hardware complex was used at the beginning and end of an 8-hour shift. The condition of the musculoskeletal system was assessed using stabilometry and the Romberg test in a quiet room. All data was recorded in an electronic database and processed using Excel 2016. Results. The results of the study confirmed the negative impact of dental admission conditions on the doctor's health. During the dentist's appointment, unfavorable working conditions are regularly affected, which reduce performance and cause increased fatigue. The analysis of heart rate variability showed an increase in the activity of the autonomic nervous system. At the end of the intake, the overall activity of regulatory mechanisms, including humoral and metabolic ones, increases, and the degree of tension in the autonomic centers increases, which characterizes the activation of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system. The reflection of these changes is a marked psycho-emotional stress, which is most noticeable at the end of the work shift. Conclusion. The results obtained indicate the negative impact of dental admission risk factors on the cardiovascular and autonomic nervous systems, as well as on the musculoskeletal system of doctors. This is due to the pronounced psycho-emotional stress and the need to stay in a forced position for a long time. These findings highlight the need to develop programs to improve the working conditions of dentists in order to reduce the risk of occupational diseases.
