Problems with the angle of needle drop for L-shaped corneal wound sutures

L-shaped corneal wound is a common wound type in corneal suture surgery, clinicians found in surgical practice that when suturing both sides of L-shaped corneal wounds, compared with the traditional vertical suture in the midline of the wound, if the suture needle with a certain deflection angle from the midline will have better results. How to explain whether this kind of suture with deflection angle is reasonable or not and how to give a fast calculation of the drop angle are the main research work of this paper. Firstly, the mathematical model of L-shaped corneal wound is established by using computational mechanics method, and the changes of the wound edge after the first suture of L-shaped corneal wound are understood through numerical calculations, which explains the problem of the deflection angle of the suture compared with the traditional vertical suture of the middle line; then based on the results of the calculations and under the appropriate assumptions, the formula for the calculation of the drop angle of the needle of the L-shaped corneal wound at any angle is established; The effect of the formula is compared by example calculation and combined with computational mechanics simulation search method, which verifies the reasonableness and effectiveness of the method in assisting corneal suture surgery.
