Fuzzy PID control of second order inverted pendulum
This paper aims to construct a mathematical model for a second-order inverted pendulum and implement a fuzzy PID controller by integrating traditional Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control with fuzzy control to achieve fuzzy tuning of the system. Simulation results demonstrate that the designed fuzzy PID controller exhibits excellent performance in stabilizing the second-order inverted pendulum, significantly outperforming the traditional PID controller. Specifically, it achieves smaller overshoot, shorter settling time, and strong disturbance rejection capabilities. The experiments confirm that this method is effective for ensuring the stability control of the second-order inverted pendulum model.
