Research on bridge pier modeling method based on SFM technology
Three-dimensional laser scanning, object recognition and bridge monitoring are crucial for ensuring traffic safety. The application of Structure from Motion (SFM) technology in bridge structure analysis, especially the use of smart phone for image-based three-dimensional reconstruction, has received relatively few studies. This study investigated the modeling of bridge components, especially bridge piers, using SFM, demonstrating its feasibility and potential in this field. By using advanced tools such as Revit/Recap, Matlab and Abaqus, this study emphasizes the applicability of SFM technology in the reconstruction of bridge units. The research results show that although environmental factors such as light and surface conditions may limit the effectiveness of SFM in modeling large Bridges, it holds significant promise for accurately modeling smaller components, such as bridge piers, and provides valuable insights for bridge analysis and monitoring.
