Optimization design of titanium alloy connecting rod based on design of experiment
Aiming at the problem of weight redundancy in the design process of the connecting rod (CR) to meet the requirements of strength and stiffness. A structural lightweight test based on ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software is presented. CR is subjected to harsh environments such as high temperature and pressure. Reasonable optimization for structure and reduction the mass can effectively reduce inertia force generated when the CR movement, reduce fuel consumption, and save material. Establish a model of a certain type of CR, import it into ANSYS Workbench, and analyze the stress with two limited working conditions through statics. Box-Behnken design was used to analyze the structure optimization and the optimal size was found. The mass after optimization was reduced by 7.67% compared with that before optimization, providing a reference for reducing the mass. The results show that the proposed optimization method for structure is feasible.
