The Creative Cluster in the Modern Organization of Culture

The article delves into the phenomenon of creative clusters and the implementation of this organizational form within classical-type cultural institutions. By examining the genesis of creative clusters and their modern con-figurations, the author explores whether modern cultural institutions can be classified as creative clusters in the non-traditional sense, or if they merely adopt certain mechanistic tools associated with cluster functioning while discarding others. The peculiarity of this article is the practical lens of the researcher. In other words, the article presents the reflection of practical experience of the classic cultural institution with features of the creative clus-ter (Association of cultural centers of the South-Western Administrative District of Moscow, Cultural Center ZIL). As a result of this investigation, a stable mechanistic pattern of creative cluster operation has been identified, which facilitates the scaling of experiences related to the creation and functioning of individual organizations. Furthermore, the drift of the creative cluster model and the broader clustering phenomenon into other domains is also conditioned by the identified resistance inherent to the cluster paradigm. For the cultural sector, this model appears to be promising; however, it necessitates targeted refinement and contextual adaptation to fully realize its potential.
