ETHICAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS OF PRESCRIPTION, DISPENSING AND DISPENSE OF PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES
Ethical aspects in modern society not only do not lose their significance, but also acquire new meanings. Therefore, all spheres of public life, including normative activity, undergo transformations in accordance with new ethical requirements. Drug provision is part of the country's social policy, which means that all its aspects should be aimed at the benefit of people. Issues of regulating the appointment, prescription and dispensing of drugs are given close attention. Professional ethics require a pharmacist to be attentive and compassionate to a patient who has asked for help, regardless of his status, health condition or personal qualities. At the same time, pharmaceutical examination of a prescription often calls into question the legitimacy of dispensing a prescription drug. The relevance of the work is due to the need to improve regulations concerning the appointment, writing of prescriptions for drugs and dispensing them, and to increase the role of ethical aspects concerning patients, medical and pharmaceutical workers. The purpose of this study is to identify shortcomings, contradictions and reserves for improving their versions, taking into account ethical aspects, based on a retrospective analysis of regulatory legal acts concerning the appointment and prescription of medicinal products. The sources of the study were the regulatory framework governing the appointment, prescription and sale of prescription drugs, starting from 1999. The study used the method of content analysis, retrospective and comparative analysis. An analysis of the regulations governing the appointment, prescription and dispensing of medicines shows that, along with their improvement, there are aspects that complicate their application in practical activities. In this regard, measures aimed at improving the ethical and legal aspects of prescriptions are proposed.
