Abstract

Mutual funds are the best option for the average investor because they provide a costeffective way to purchase a substantial, expertly managed basket of assets. Scheme diversity gives members a range of alternatives to accomplish their goals based on variables including age, financial condition, risk tolerance, and projected rate of return. Perception among investors affects mutual fund investments. The study, which was carried out in the Vellore region, employed convenient sampling to gather data. The study's main goals are to learn how investors perceive mutual funds and investigate the variables that affect their perceptions. To examine the data, statistical methods such as "Chi-square" and "Anova" were used. The Anova test showed a relationship between age group and monthly income, while the chi-square test showed a relationship between the investor's mutual fund worries and making an educated mutual fund investment choice.
