Bilateral Cooperative Learning Using M5Stack IoT Development Platform

This paper presents the bilateral cooperative learning using the M5Stack IoT development platform, conducted between Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thailand and Chiba University, Japan. The event was held on August 22, 2024. Topics included an overview of educational technology and the M5Stack platform, group formation, workshops, and group presentations. The student team achievement division method was used, dividing the students into five groups of four students each, totaling 20 members. This workshop consists of two activities: (1) testing the M5Stack platform with input sensors, and (2) testing the M5Stack platform with input and output LCD display, both structured as mini projects. The evaluation results were divided into two parts: individual improvement score and team recognition score. Individual improvement score results were assessed on five cooperative criteria, with the team scoring the highest at 9.5. Variations in personal responsibility and social skills highlighted differing levels of individual participation within the teams. All five teams performed well based on the team recognition score, with three teams receiving “Excellent” ratings and two teams receiving “Very Good” ratings. These outcomes, based on mini project execution and presentations, reflect strong teamwork and effective cooperation between groups.
