Evaluating Cloud Computing Performance with Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets (GSPNs)
Cloud Computing has gained significant popularity in recent years due to its numerous advantages. To sustain these benefits, it is crucial to have an accurate performance evaluation model. However, evaluating the performance of a Cloud environment is challenging due to its dynamic nature. We define the dynamic nature of the Cloud as the continuous interaction between users requesting services and service providers publishing those services, leading to variations in Cloud services over time. In this paper, we use Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets (GSPNs) to model and evaluate the performance of Cloud Computing, taking its dynamic aspect into account.
