Why Thermal Diffused Alloys are a Good Option for Protecting Tubulars in CCUS Wells

Abstract This paper evaluates the performance of Thermal Diffused Alloys (TDAs), particularly Thermal Diffused Zinc (TDZ), as protective coatings for tubulars in CCUS environments. Comparative corrosion testing against carbon steel and corrosion-resistant alloys (CRAs) under acidic and chloride-rich conditions demonstrates the potential of TDZs to mitigate pitting and extend service life.
