AdUARX: An Immersive Mobile Augmented Reality Application for Navigating Adamson University Using A* Algorithm
This paper discusses the development and implementation of a mobile augmented reality (AR) application tailored to address navigation challenges within Adamson University. Prioritizing accuracy, immersive features, efficiency, and user-friendly design, the application seeks to elevate the navigating experience on campus. Augmented reality technology's transformative impact across various sectors is explored, illustrating its potential to revolutionize user engagement and human-computer interaction. The study culminates in successfully integrating advanced pathfinding algorithms, specifically the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$A^{*}$</tex> algorithm, with AR technology. The exploration of the algorithm encompasses a comparative analysis between the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$A^{*}$</tex> and Dijkstra algorithms, which involved evaluating and analyzing the different strategies employed by both algorithms within the same test scenario. The application demonstrates commendable accuracy through a comparative path analysis, indicating promising prospects for effective and user-friendly navigation solutions within educational institutions like Adamson University.
