Autonomous Model for Research in High Automation
This paper introduces some latest results in concept and method of the Experimental Model of Research (EMR). EMR provides integration of a given research in modeling, simulation, communication, and collaboration for results in the area of recently emerging highly automated environments. EMR is developed to serve scientific-industrial research to ensure capability to integrate theory, methodology, contexts, practice, and experience. The all-in-one EMR accommodates all content items for a research in integrated model representation. Research proceeds in dedicated collaborative space and it can be contextually connected with larger research as its part and with cyber units of cyber physical systems for physical experiment and research result utilization related activities. The collaborative space in specific cloud platform ensures geographically and organizationally independent participation in research. Main contribution in this paper is about recent findings to make EMR capable to accommodate all required representation, means for control of research, model based communication, and providing and receiving control purposed contextual connections with other or larger research, other collaborative spaces, and cyber units of cyber physical system (CPS). Development and execution of EMR uses appropriately comprehensive and industrially proven engineering modeling platform. The organizational background of implementation of EMR is the Virtual Research Laboratory (VRL) which operates in this platform. The industrial engineering specific platform provides all capabilities necessary to integrate research and its results for participants in a world level all-in-one collection of APPs.
