STEM Education for Humanities Students through FabLab Implementation at a Regional University
This study explores the potential of STEM education for humanities students at a regional private university by examining educational activities conducted from 2020 to 2023 at the Manufacturing Lab established at Hokuriku University. Initially, the lab focused primarily on equipping humanities students with foundational technical skills, including digital fabrication and programming. However, through gradual expansion into regional collaboration projects and creative expression activities, improvements were observed not only in students’ technical abilities but also in their social skills and creativity.
