Blockchain-Enabled EHR Access Management in the Metaverse Healthcare Framework: A Multi-Dimensional Approach
The healthcare industry is experiencing a rapid shift towards digital transformation, with the emergence of the Metaverse introducing new opportunities and challenges. One of the key challenges is the secure and efficient management and protection of Electronic Health Records (EHR) within the Metaverse environment. This paper addresses these challenges by providing a secure and efficient method for managing and securing EHRs by proposing an Access Control mechanism within the Metaverse. The paper presents a Multi-Dimensional Access Control (MDAC) policy for segmented EHRs within the Metaverse healthcare framework by leveraging smart contracts. Through the deployment of smart contracts, we have established a secure infrastructure for EHR segmentation and access permission management for different roles within the Metaverse. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in enhancing EHR data protection, operational efficiencies in terms of EHR management within the Metaverse system.
