Balanced Cooling System for Hardware Circuits in Reconfigurable Battery Module
This paper presents a balanced cooling structure for the circuits of reconfigurable battery modules using large-capacity batteries. Firstly, the resistance distribution and heat generation of the hardware circuit are analyzed, and the simplified thermal model of the circuit is established. Next, the air duct, which can realize balanced cooling of circuits, is designed, and its theoretical performance is validated by Ansys simulation. The simulation result shows the designed air duct structure has relative uniformity. Finally, a reconfigurable battery module containing 16 LPF batteries with 280Ah capacity is set up to validate the feasibility of the proposed hardware circuit cooling system. The result shows that the proposed hardware circuit cooling system can ensure the temperature uniformity of the hardware circuit and a low-temperature rise.
