RISE Controller Design to Regulate Output Voltage of Switched Buck Power Converters
This study presents an innovative control approach that utilizes a switching function to govern the operation of switched-buck power converters. The control mechanism is the robust integral of the Sign of Error (RISE) strategy. The RISE control methodology was developed to minimize tracking error by leveraging its robustness and producing a continuous and seamless control signal. The RISE technique exhibits various advantages compared to the Sliding Mode Controller (SMC) proposed in previous studies. It successfully prevents the chattering phenomenon typically associated with the discontinuous portion of the SMC. Furthermore, the RISE technique effectively minimizes tracking error and control effort.
