Trend Analysis and a Strategic Approach in Financial Markets: A Strategic Overview of BIST-100 Stocks with Technical Indicators
Trend analysis in financial markets has a critical role in strategic decision-making for investors and analysts. In the first part of the present study, the importance of trend analysis, which is frequently used by investors and analysts in technical analysis methods, is discussed. In addition, the principles of operation, advantages and disadvantages of selected indicators and oscillators used in technical analysis are examined thoroughly. The study aims to provide a strategic approach by using technical analysis methods such as Heiken Ashi candlesticks, Trend Score indicator, RSI (Relative Strength Index) and Fibonacci coefficients. The Heiken Ashi candlesticks show market trends more clearly, the Trend Score indicator reveals the strength of the trend, and the RSI indicator identifies overbought/ oversold zones. Support and resistance levels are determined by Fibonacci coefficients. In the second section, stocks trading in the BIST-100 index, which have a high trading volume and are not affected by speculative fluctuations, are analyzed based on these indicators. By considering past performance and present market conditions of stocks, strategic investment recommendations are proposed for investors. In the conclusion section of the study, analyses are presented to contribute to investors' risk management and return optimization processes. The potential future movements of the stocks traded in the BIST-100 index are analyzed with a combination of technical indicators and accordingly, an important guide for strategic decision-making processes in financial markets is created.
