Marine Electrification in Vessels, Decarbonization and Magnetohydrodynamic Engines
Parallelly developing with the EV, electrification in marine application is also thriving. In this paper, we will introduce the electric vessel developments in recent years, covering the electrifications on the cargo, passenger and tugboats. The underwater habitant, offshore liquified neutral gas transferring ship and hybrid offshore energy provider system are also interpreted. The relevant innovation projects such as the decarbonization, energy generation and propulsion systems will also be demonstrated with their key parameters, innovations and the features. The paper will include the supportive policy issued by the Canada government regarding the transportation electrifications. At last the future research topics in maritime development are discussed.
