The Development of a Simulation-Based Learning Model Integrated with Digital Media to Enhance Analytical Thinking Skills for Educational Psychology Subject

The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop a simulation-based learning model integrated with digital media to enhance analytical thinking skills in the Educational Psychology Subject, 2) to study the effects of a simulation-based learning model integrated with digital media to enhance analytical thinking skills for educational psychology subjects. The Sample groups were 21 first-year students with a bachelor’s degree in the Department of Teacher Training in Electrical Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). The instruments used in this study are: 1) a Simulation-Based Learning Model Integrated with Digital Media, 2) the teaching manual, 3) an analytical thinking skills form based on 4 multiple-choice questions, and 4) a student satisfaction assessment. The research results show that 1) the evaluation results of the appropriateness of the developed learning model revealed that its suitability was rated at a high level ($\rm{mean}=4.46, SD. =0.16$), 2) the students’ learning achievement after the learning was significantly higher than before the learning at the.05 level of significance and 3) the students’ satisfaction with the developed learning process was at a high level ($\rm{mean}=4.32, SD. =0.23$). Therefore, the developed instructional model is appropriate for enhancing students’ analytical thinking skills.
