Development of Factory Joints for Medium Voltage AC Extruded Polypropylene-Based-Insulated Power Cables
This paper compares and analyzes factory joints for cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE)-insulated cables and polypropylene (PP)-insulated cables, highlighting the similarities and differences in their manufacturing processes. Based on a self-developed PP-insulated medium-voltage AC cable, we conducted research on factory joints, produced a prototype, and performed relevant R&D tests to evaluate its feasibility and performance.
