ENSURING FOREST FIRES MONITORING

The problem of monitoring natural fires is considered. The use of the possibilities of remote sensing of the earth, aerial photography and unmanned aerial vehicles is discussed. An assessment is made of the feasibility of using unmanned vehicles of various classes to solve strategic and tactical problems. Serial unmanned aerial vehicles that have been tested by units of the Russian Ministry of Defense are recommended for use. Examples of the successful use of heavy helicopter-type drones to extinguish fires are presented.
