Federal Student Loan Limits and Implications for Physician Workforce Diversity
This Viewpoint discusses caps on federal loans for medical students that are part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act; highlights potential exclusionary demographic, geographic, and specialty effects of this market-based approach on the US physician workforce; and makes policy recommendations to mitigate these exclusionary effects.
