Fissidens bruggemaniae (Bryophyta: Fissidentaceae) – a new species of moss from the Western Ghats, India
Fissidens bruggemaniae from the southern Western Ghats, is described here as new to plant science. The unique features of this new species are the presence of two tipped mammillose cells, the combination of pinnately foliated female stems and perichaetial leaves with a distinct limbidium of short wide cells on the basal half of the vaginant lamina.
