The recovery of Amara chaudoiri ssp. incognita Fassati, 1946 is reported for Germany after almost 100 years. An updated distribution map is presented based on the re-evaluation of all nationwide historical records. The species reaches its north-western distribution limit in south-east Germany, which can be confirmed by the current record from Bavaria.
