Chemically Reactive Solute Transfer in Carreau Fluid Flow Over a Nonlinear Stretching Sheet in the Presence of Stefan Blowing
In engineering and industrial sectors, most of the fluids behave like non-Newtonian fluids. So, it is very important to explore the non-Newtonian fluid behavior from different perspectives. Furthermore, Stefan blowing plays a significant role in boundary layer modification and mass transfer for non-Newtonian fluid. With these viewpoints, the Carreau fluid flow exhibiting non-Newtonian fluid behavior past a stretching surface in the presence of chemically reactive species is investigated in this current work. Also, Stefan blowing is considered at the boundary to make the fluid model more significant. The governing partial differential equations are then solved numerically by the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method with the help of the Shooting technique. The effects of several non-dimensional parameters including Weissenberg number (We), Stefan suction/blowing parameter ([Formula: see text]), Schmidt number (Sc), chemical reaction parameter ([Formula: see text]) and power-law index ([Formula: see text]) on flow, concentration field of the fluid, skin friction coefficient and Sherwood number are presented graphically. Fluid velocity increases its value and concentration decreases for enhancing values of Weissenberg number (We) and power-law index ([Formula: see text]).
