Identification of threats to radio channels of vehicles using global navigation satellite systems

Problem statement. Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) are crucial in many applications, including navigation for various tasks, management of transport systems and a number of others. However, they are vulnerable to jamming and spoofing attacks. Spoofing attacks are those in which an attacker generates false signals that can deceive the receiver and lead to the provision of incorrect location or time information. Goal. Existing methods for detecting spoofing do not fully ensure the safety of determining coordinates, which primarily hinders the development of unmanned intelligent transport systems. One approach to combating spoofing is to build detectors to extract unique features from GNSS signals to identify the source of satellite signals and identify the difference between genuine and fake signals based on them. Results. Methods for localizing attacks, primarily spoofing, on radio channels for determining the location of vehicles are considered. Technical solutions for detecting such attacks are proposed. Practical significance. The proposed solutions can be used in intelligent vehicles when designing unmanned automatic guidance systems to prevent emergency situations.
