Ningyo Joruri puppeteer motion measurement using two types of motion capture devices
In this paper, as one of the digital archiving of Ningyo Joruri (Japanese traditional puppet theater), we propose a puppeteer motion measurement method using two types (wearable and optical) of motion capture devices. Here, we show a method using a jig attached to an inertial sensor and optical markers. In experiments, when we use only the wearable motion capture device, a puppeteer motion cannot be measured, but by using our proposed method, his motion can be measured correctly. Hence, we can show the effectiveness of our proposed method.
