Multidimensional Coherent Imaging Spectroscopy of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides
Many implementations of nonlinear spectroscopy utilize a geometry where two or more beams are incident on the same spot on a sample at different angles, usually to allow the separation of a weak nonlinear signal from the strong incident laser beams. This geometry makes it difficult to incorporate imaging with the spectroscopy as it generally requires moving the sample. We have developed a method to perform nonlinear spectroscopy using fully collinear beams, thereby allowing imaging to be performed without moving the sample by scanning the combined beam.
