Electrical Modulation of Plasmonic Nano Particle Surfaces

Plasmonic resonators can be electrically contacted by means of nanometer thin monocrystalline wires. We take a look into the plethora of experimental possibilities, focusing on the tuning of surface properties, hinting to a way towards a quantum mechanical description of metal-dielectric boundaries.

Abstract

Plasmonic resonators can be electrically contacted by means of nanometer thin monocrystalline wires. We take a look into the plethora of experimental possibilities, focusing on the tuning of surface properties, hinting to a way towards a quantum mechanical description of metal-dielectric boundaries.
