Liquid Face Cooled Spinning Disks for Kilowatt Yb-YAG Laser Amplifier
High-power solid-state lasers are among the hot research directions at the forefront of laser research and have major applications in applied scientific research, medical treatment, industrial processing, Inertial Fusion Energy and other fields [1]. Heat management is a critical challenge in high-power laser development. A significant fraction of the energy is converted into heat during amplification, which can lead to thermal lensing, material deformation, or damage to optical components. Advanced cooling systems need to be developed to ensure stability and performance of such high power systems [2].
