Impact of Replacing Na+ With Ag+ on the Optical and Spectroscopic Properties of Er3+-Doped Tellurite Glasses
Rare-earth (RE) doped glass have attracted lots of interests, especially Er3+ -doped glass due to their various emissions in the visible, NIR and MIR ranges under 980 nm pumping. Silica glass have proven to be very attractive because of its good optical transparency and high mechanical strength. However, the solubility of RE ions in silica glass is limited, which leads to RE clustering and luminescence quenching at high RE concentrations. Therefore, greater attention has been paid to tellurite glasses due to their lower melting temperature and their ability to incorporate higher amount of RE [1].
