On the Impact of Distortions in Coded Hyperspectral Systems
Single Disperser Coded Aperture Spectral Snapshot Imagers (SD-CASSI) have been widely used to reduce the data quantity of hyperspectral images (HSI) through coded acquisitions. Based on prior work [1], most SD-CASSI systems include an expensive double-Amici prism as their dispersive element, as it allows for a direct-view and almost no distortions, contrary to systems relying on off-the-shelf single prism. Double-Amici prism systems have therefore been utilized as the baseline for all mathematical models and reconstruction algorithms for SD-CASSI.
