Advancing Few-Cycle Pulse Diagnostics with the Amplitude Swing Method
This work validates the amplitude swing (a-swing) technique [1], [2] for characterizing ultrashort few-cycle laser pulses [3]. The method, based on modulating the relative amplitude of two delayed pulse replicas and analyzing their second-harmonic generation (SHG) trace, provides a robust, compact, and versatile solution for ultrafast optical pulse measurement. Recently, it has been demonstrated that a-swing can measure vector pulses [4] and it has been generalized to complex amplitude modulations [5].
