Tunable W-Doped VO2 Nanolayer at Body Temperature for Ultrasensitive Near-Infrared Plasmonic Biosensor
Surface Plasmon Resonance biosensing is an advanced optical technique that detects molecular interactions in real-time through refractive index changes at the sensing surface [1]. The integration of nanotechnology in biosensing systems has opened new avenues to overcome challenges in sensitivity and selectivity [2]. Tungsten-doped vanadium dioxide (W- <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathrm{V} \mathrm{O}_{2}$</tex>) has significant attention due to its unique thermochromic properties in the near-infrared region. W-VO<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> exhibits a reversible insulator-to-metal phase transition, significantly altering its optical and electrical properties [3].
