Novel Method for Controlling the Brightness of Laser beams Emitted by a Thin-disk Laser
Controlling the spatial intensity distribution and beam quality of a laser beam during operation offers high flexibility to adapt the laser to various application requirements. To maximize the efficiency of diverse machining processes, it is essential for the laser to operate efficiently across the entire power range. However, to the best of our knowledge, a continuous-wave laser beam source capable of maintaining high efficiency, power stability, and adjustable beam quality at variable power levels has not yet been demonstrated.
