Three Dimensional Mapping of $\mathrm{H}_{2}$ Plumes with Raman LIDAR
Following the successful demonstration of Raman LIDAR for monitoring the hydrogen gas emanating from nuclear waste [1]–[3], we are developing an airborne Raman LIDAR instrument to explore for natural hydrogen seeps [4] and as part of a leak detection and repair (LDAR) program [5] for the hydrogen storage and supply industry. Previously, Raman scattering was employed to investigate hydrogen plumes from leaky cryogenic storage vessels [6]. Mapping gas plumes helps identify the source of a leak.
