Remote Focus Control: 3D Nanoprinted Holograms on Multicore Single-Mode Fibers
Remote focus manipulation is a critical capability in modern photonics, with applications spanning biological imaging [1], laser micromachining [2], telecommunications [3], and laser surgery [4]. Conventional optical systems often rely on bulky components, limiting flexibility and functionality. In this study, we present a novel approach for achieving advanced remote focus control by integrating computationally designed 3D nanoprinted holograms onto the end face of single-mode multicore fibers (SM-MCFs). This innovation enables precise, tunable light focusing, surpassing the limitations of traditional lenses and static optical systems.
