Development of a Photonic Interface for Neutral-Atom Based Quantum Processors Using a Nanofiber Cavity
Neutral atoms are a promising platform for quantum computing. As with other platforms however, the number of qubits needs to be scaled up by orders of magnitude compared to the state-of-the-art to achieve fault-tolerance. A modular solution is to connect many neutral-atom-based quantum processors. For that purpose, we are developing an atom-photon interface based on nanofiber cavities as proposed in Ref. [1].
