Complete Optical Field Reconstruction of Optical Frequency Combs Generated by Gain-Switching Using the Gerchberg-Saxton Algorithm
An optical frequency comb (OFC) source can be defined as a laser that generates an equally spaced and highly correlated group of optical frequencies. Hence, OFCs have been employed in different fields including optical communications [1], RF photonics [2] and infrared spectroscopy [3]. For certain applications, an OFC source can also be considered as a laser source that is capable of producing coherent ultra-short optical pulses.
