Reconfigurable Helico-Conical Beams Based on Coordinate Transformation

The optical helico-conical beams (HCBs) can be generated from inseparable product of helical and conical phase terms, which contributes to spiral-like intensity distributions at the focal plane when experiencing a Fourier transform [1]. Recently, the fabrication strategies of more flexible HCBs are investigated, opening a new pathway for the versatile manipulation of chiral optical fields [2], [3].

Abstract

The optical helico-conical beams (HCBs) can be generated from inseparable product of helical and conical phase terms, which contributes to spiral-like intensity distributions at the focal plane when experiencing a Fourier transform [1]. Recently, the fabrication strategies of more flexible HCBs are investigated, opening a new pathway for the versatile manipulation of chiral optical fields [2], [3].
