Transmissive Light Modulator and Switchable Beam Splitter Based on Thin-Film Lithium Niobate and ITO

Based on thin-film lithium niobate and conductive low-loss ITO, we demonstrate two types of transmissive electro-optically tunable metasurface devices in the near-infrared: a light modulator; and a switchable beam splitter with high-contrast grating.

Abstract

Based on thin-film lithium niobate and conductive low-loss ITO, we demonstrate two types of transmissive electro-optically tunable metasurface devices in the near-infrared: a light modulator; and a switchable beam splitter with high-contrast grating.
