Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Multi-physical Field Coupling in Alkaline Electrolyzer
Aiming at the steady-state model in electrochemical reaction of alkaline electrolyzer, it is impossible to describe the dynamic adjustment process of alkaline electrolyzer. In the process of new energy power generation, the dynamic operation of alkaline electrolyzer is an important link in the whole hydrogen production. In order to solve the above problems, the process of multi-physical field coupling simulation and accurate dynamic model of alkaline electrolyzer is proposed. Firstly, the multi-physical field model of alkaline electrolyzer is established, the coupling relationship of multi-physical fields is analyzed, the accuracy of multi-physical field model of alkaline electrolyzer is determined by comparing with experimental parameters. Furthermore, the accurate multi-physical field model is dynamically adjusted, and the influence of voltage, water flow and temperature on the dynamic working characteristics of alkaline electrolyzer is analyzed. The simulation results show that the sudden change of voltage leads to the current overshoot of the electrolyzer; The sudden change of flow rate and temperature will not overshoot the current of electrolyzer. The coupling of multiple physical fields can predict the whole process of alkaline electrolyzer. The research results can predict the design performance of hydrogen production system in alkaline electrolyzer.
