An Automatic Calibration System for Impedance Head
In order to solve the problems of low efficiency of manual impedance head calibration, such as heavy workload and complex data processing, an automatic calibration system is introduced in this paper. The system, developed in accordance with the ISO 16063-11 standard, integrates a laser interferometer, a signal excitation unit, and a data acquisition module, and is controlled by LabVIEW software. The system uses the sine approximation method to calibrate the sensitivity of acceleration and force. It supports multi-point measurement and automatically generates numerical and graphical reports. Experiments on Brüel & Kjær 8001 impedance head were carried out and preliminary results show that the system has high accuracy, repeatability and operational efficiency. More verification experiments are needed in the future for routine calibration work.
