Specific virus real-time detection in aerosols by surface-functionalized graphene resonant mass sensor using optical interferometry
Graphene-based MEMS resonant mass sensors demonstrate mass sensitivity enhancement hundreds of times compared to Si-MEMS, enabling single virus detection. This paper reports, for the first time, using said sensor for real-time detection of airborne SARS-CoV-2 virus in aerosol, achieved via specific aptamer-functionalized graphene surface.
